Beloved Coach Park Hang-Seo Plans to Open Football Academy in Vietnam

The successful Korean coach who led Vietnam's national teams to record-breaking performances has revealed he would like to open a football training academy in Vietnam after he retires. 

The 64-year-old coach recently signed a three-year contract extension so the academy would have to wait until at least then to start training Vietnam's next generation of pitch phenoms. 

 

First Trailer Released for Spike Lee's Much-Anticipated Vietnam Movie

Da 5 Bloods, a new film by the bombastic American filmmaker is set to hit Netflix in June and the streaming service gave viewers their first peek via a trailer this past week. 

Starring Chadwick Boseman, Clarke Petersm Isiah Whitlock, Jr., Norm Lewis and Delroy Lindo, the movie tells the story of four African-American veterans returning to Vietnam in search of their friend's remains and buried gold. Local actor Ngo Thanh Van, who earned global fame for her role in Star Wars will play Hanoi Hannah. 

The film was shot in Vietnam and Thailand last year. Watch the trailer below:

To Lich River to Receive More Than a Mere Cosmetic Makeover

An underground sewer is being built beneath the 11-kilometer stretch of To Lich River to take wastewater to a treatment plant. The flows from Nghia Do Ward in Cau Giay toward southern Hanoi before entering the Nhue River.

 The Hanoi People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 18 for the sewer system that will take four years to complete.

It is being built under the river as opposed to nearby streets so as to minimize the project's intrusiveness.
