Saigon Set to Welcome Vietnam's First Apple Premium Reseller Next Week

The first Apple Premium Reseller store in Vietnam is set to open in Saigon on September 10.

According to Dan Tri, the store, named eDiGi and operated by Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG), is the first reseller in the country to meet the specified standards of both the Apple Premium Reseller and Apple Service Provider.

Unlike the Apple Authorized Reseller stores run by FPT Group, which sell a variety of products from various brands, eDigi only provides Apple products. Maintenance and warranty services will also be available for Apple customers. It will be located next to the Saigon Post Office.

The news source adds that Apple protects their brand by requiring Apple Authorized Reseller locations to not provide repair and maintenance services to products of an unknown source. This is meant to avoid copyright infringement by working with items lacking proper invoices and bills.

Nguyen Bach Diep, chairwoman of FPT Retail, told the news outlet that her firm expects to launch 100 Apple Authorized Resller stores within the next three years.
