[Video] Crowdfunding Page Helps Families Affected by Vo Van Kiet Fire

In an effort to assist those affected by the Vo Van Kiet fire which destroyed dozens of homes earlier this month, one Saigon resident has started a Go Fund Me page requesting donations for families in need.

American expat Andrew Ho, the creator of the crowdfunding page, recently joined forces with YouTuber Kyle Le to raise awareness of the affected residents' circumstances.

The blaze, which took place on the afternoon of December 3, raged on for over two hours as local firefighters struggled to extinguish the flames. Local residents managed to escape the inferno without harm but are now left homeless and without most of their possessions. The residents living on Vo Van Kiet, many of whom are literally sleeping on the street right now, hold working-class jobs as security guards or street vendors and have minimal savings with which to begin again.
