CNN to Screen 15 Minute-Long Clips About Hanoi Internationally

Over the next two months, CNN will broadcast 15 shorts films about Hanoi to international audiences.

According to Dan Tri, the videos are part of an agreement the city's tourism officials signed with the cable news channel in May. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) runs from this year until 2024.

The minute-long clips will be aired around the world until October 21, and will focus on the capital's beauty, culture and tourist attractions.

The current five-year promotional campaign is worth US$3.4 million, and follows a two-year deal that cost Hanoi US$2 million and ran from 2017 to the start of this year.

Dan Tri reports that 5.74 million foreign tourists visited the city in 2018, a 16% increase from the previous year.
