London Symphony Orchestra to Play at Ly Thai To Park on October 5

The famed London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is coming to Hanoi for their third performance in the city.

Nhan Dan reports that the LSO will play on October 5 at Ly Thai To Square next to Hoan Kiem Lake for the third straight year.

The orchestra will play eight songs, including 'Tien Quan Ca,' the Vietnamese national anthem. Sir Simon Rattle, a winner of the UK's Classical Music Award, will conduct the LSO.

For those who can't see the concert in person, Hanoi will set up massive screens on Dinh Tien Hoang Street near the lake and at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in order to broadcast the performance to more people.

According to the news source, the show is part of activities that will celebrate the 65th anniversary of Hanoi's liberation, which falls on October 10.

Vietnam Plus adds that the LSO was formed in 1904, and currently includes around 100 world-class musicians from across the globe.
