[Video] Introducing Rooftop Concerts, Urbanist Hanoi's New Live Music Series

It is with unrelenting pride and excitement that we can finally introduce Rooftop Concerts, our new live music video series inspired by the likes of Tiny Desk Concerts and La Blogotheque

As the name suggests, we'll film these clips atop an assortment of Hanoi's rooftops, bringing quality live music from distinct spots across the city's ever-expanding canopy. Featuring established acts and up-and-coming artists alike, these short films will highlight the best of the capital's growing music scene.

We'll focus on Vietnamese artists, bands and singers, and this first edition sees popular indie rock group Những Đứa Trẻ (The Children) performing their classic track 'Một Bình Minh Tuyệt Vời.' The band is currently gearing up for a headline performance at Hanoi Rock City this Saturday.

This initial video was filmed in much-loved art quarter Sixty Square, which left Hanoian hearts broken when it closed its doors earlier this year. The band plays on a raised walkway between buildings. In later videos, we'll ascend to greater heights and iconic locations to bring the kind of performances you won't see anywhere else.

Check out the first session below:
