Rewind (UK Garage / Bassline / UK Funky) @ BirdCage

We’re rewinding it right back to ‘94, the heyday of London's ‘Sunday Scene’ and the birth of the jewel in the crown of dance music, Garage.

Born out of sped up cuts of Soul, RnB and House emanating out of US venue ‘Paradise Garage’ UKG combines these with the bass heavy production techniques common place in Jungle and DnB to give it its unique British flavour.

The daughter of House and Jungle and the mother of Grime, Funky, Bassline and Dubstep, UK Garage has been hugely influential on many contemporary styles that have taken global dance floors by storm and, as such, is undergoing a massive revival.

So join our selectors in two-stepping down to BirdCage and stomping the shit heels out of your Reebok Classics for a night reminiscent of the champagne raves of old, and with a little bit of luck we can make it through the night.
