From Plastic to Ecobricks @ Creative Lab

RSVP here: http://bit.ly/ecobrick2019ap

Plastic pollution is becoming increasingly problematic around the world today - and the effects of it can be felt in the air, seen in the soil and the water of Hanoi. Even we are trying to replace it by other kinds of material (silicon, fabric, paper…) but sometimes we still end up with plastic in hands. So what can we do with those unexpected plastic without throwing it away?

One of the many solutions to this problem, is eco-bricking. And we'd love to invite you to join us in making some!

What is eco-brick?
Eco-bricks are plastic bottles packed with used, clean and dry plastic to achieve a building block that can be used over and over again. They are packed with other non-biological un-recyclable materials that are toxic to the environment (i.e. styrofoam, wires, small batteries, etc.). Making eco-bricks is an exciting way that individuals, communities, and companies can start their immediate transition from plastic towards ever greener harmony with the Earth’s cycles while waiting for a solution to completely replace plastic in the Earth!

What can you expect from this event?
Making eco-bricks (of course)
Discussing about existing environmental issues
Learning about the plastic pollution in Hanoi through super fun games and quizzes
Meeting new people who have the same concern as you

What will happen to the eco-bricks we are gonna make?
The eco-bricks created will then be used to make garden spaces in a community development project in Mai Chau later this year. We will also be collecting other eco-bricks that you may already have, as long as they meet the minimum density requirements for building.

What do we need to know about the event?
