Arabic Music Night @ Chula

Chulala Arabic Musics night!
Free entrance
-- Delicious food from Nan N Kabab --
-- Ana Nelly dancing performance and class--

Grooves from North Africa, Arabia and Western Asia will provide the soundtrack to an Arab night at Chula. We’ll listen to traditional styles like Gnaoua, Andalussian or Chaabi, and more modern rhythms like Raï; also new urban styles like electro shaabi or electronic sounds.
Western and African music has influenced the region, where bands set out to do Jazz and Soul in the 50s and 60s, Funk, Rock or Afrobeat in the 70s and 80s, and Hip-Hop and House later on. Arabic music no longer comes only from Arab countries; the Arab diaspora in Europe or America is creating new forms expressing the blend of cultures.

From Belly-dancing to head-banging, we’ll dance to a broad mix of Arabic grooves.

Friday, March 29

7:00pm - 11:00pm

Chula | 43 Nhật Chiêu, Hà Nội
