The Middle, Shima & Madele live @ Polygon Musik

From the organizer: Friday January 25th Polygon presents three dynamic and original Hanoi based artists: The Middle band, Shima and Madele

Madele’ is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from South Africa. She delivers deep and soulful tones blended with folky indie musical influences.

Life, meaning and love are the most common subjects of Shima Mojapelo’s music. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter combines a deep, husky voice with a cool blues-jazzy guitar and a laidback vibe. “Do what makes you happy” is the Johannesburg musician’s motto and his music reflects this bohemian view. 7 years spent living and studying in artistic hubs such as Grahamstown and Observatory, Cape Town has left an indelible mark on Shima’s world views and this mark very clearly comes through in his music.

THE MIDDLE is a 4 piece group formed in Hanoi that means what they play. They play original music drawing mainly from rock, folk and blues. Incorporating guitar, uke, bass, synth and drums THE MIDDLE brings soulful music with a groove.
