It's supposed to be one of Tiny Music Club's most poetic music night, when of of Hanoi's most magical music teller Qhawekazi encounters the American poet and musician Scott Ezell!

* QHAWEKAZI is a contemporary jazz singer originally from South Africa.

Inspired by the voices of Erykah Badu, Nina Simone, Miriam Makeba and Ella Fitzgerald, her music traverses from Jazz to blues, Soul to world music.

" My music caters to old souls and youthful hearts. I believe music is about connecting and sharing moments with people. I am deeply inspired by the healing power of nature and music and my love of Jazz music comes from home.”

* SCOTT EZELL is an American poet and musician based in Asia. He has released ten albums of folk, experimental, and ambient music, and at the Tiny Music Club he will perform a combination of folksongs and spoken word improvisation. The performance will include songs Ezell wrote in Hanoi when he lived here from 2010 to 2012, as well as recent songs about love and violence in the contemporary world.
