From the organizer: Known globally as "the thrower of comedy thunderbolts" Tom Rhodes is better known in Hanoi as "the conqueror of power cuts" after powering through a sweaty mid-summer blackout at House of Son Tinh upon his last visit to the stage in Hanoi back in 2014.

A world-traveling comedian who is now celebrating his 30th year as a stand-up comedian, The New York Times describes Tom as “A mostly natural intellect with a knack for reporting the harsh realities of life with a dark and absurdly optimistic cynicism.” An adventurer forging his own path, Rhodes has built a career that not only includes stand-up specials, a sitcom, a travel show, a late night talk show, numerous live CD’s & DVD’s, his critically acclaimed podcast Tom Rhodes Radio, as well as being a travel writer for the Huffington Post.

Tom will be supported on the night by several stalwarts of the local Hanoi comedy scene, including Mike Ellis (who still claims that he is leaving Vietnam for pastures new and this will be his very last show), together with Nathan Ơi and Sara Butryn, finalists from last year's and this year's Vietnam Comedy Competition respectively. Your host for the evening is this year's Vietnam Comedy Competition champion Mr Glyn Richards.

UPDATE: We are also pleased to welcome Nic Monisse to the line-up. Nic is a mercurial performer, bursting with energy and a cheeky, high-energy style. He’s a winner of Perth Comedy Festival’s NextGen Comedian (2017) and just finished a highly praised, sold-out run at Fringe World Perth. His quick-thinking and off-the-cuff wit will leave you wanting more, and wondering just how he is getting away with it!
